We have consistently pursued the path towards sustainable CO2 reduction. By 2030, we will have retrofitted all our current properties to meet modern energy efficiency standards. In doing so, we are significantly exceeding the EU directives for the energy-efficient renovation of residential properties that came into effect in 2024.
Our energy efficiency goals also guide our future investments. We are also aware of our social responsibility, because in addition to our uncompromising commitment to ecological renovation measures, arenova always keeps the affordability of housing in mind.
Our targeted and coordinated renovation measures at each location reinforce our approach. In addition to significant CO2 savings, we have also been able to noticeably reduce the burden on our tenants. On average, our measures have reduced energy consumption for our residents by up to 45 percent. We will continue to pursue this path of ecological transformation, in accordance with our social responsibility.
Our headquarters in Frankfurt am Main and our proximity to our tenants are important to us. Therefore, we aim to continuously expand our portfolio in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region. We are constantly seeking suitable residential properties with potential. We are looking for residential portfolios with 100 or more units in cities with a population of 15,000 or more, preferably traditional housing developments requiring energy-efficient renovations. In Frankfurt am Main, we also invest in individual apartment buildings. All acquisitions are made directly.
